Eton is a series of buildings that the school has purchased over the years. The three below are the hall, library and William’s pad (the boarding house where the Royals lodged - Manor House).
This is part of the original school with boarding on top (where scholars were locked in – rightly so) and on the ground floor the school. Opposite the quadrangle is a magnificent chapel which unfortunately we were not allowed to photograph.

Three classes took place in the one hall. Students may carve their initials into the school when they have successfully passed.
A special thanks to Caroline – Dame of Walpole House for her hospitality in arranging the tour and also a wonderful lunch.
