What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…

We had two nights in the Venetian. What a hotel, enormous rooms (three TVs – lounge, bedroom and bathroom), a canal system with gondolas (albeit powered by electric motors and symmetrical unlike the real ones)…
Saint Marks Square
Where you could eat out comfortable in the knowledge that the weather would not have an impact on proceedings.
Once we had managed to exit the building (no easy task), outside was all that we had anticipated – plenty of glitz – I have no idea of the power bill – but it all helps to contribute to the Hoover dam.
One decoration that caught Helen’s eye is this colourful ceiling display by American artist Chihuly.
Many of the neon lights have moved over to pixels which makes the clarity of displays similar to a TV. It’s just that this is some 3 metres wide and 10m high!
Mind you when there is a glitch the glitz reverts to Windows...
Although the Eiffel tower was a little less dramatic than the real thing I suspect many Americans would question the point of travelling to Europe when they have it all in Vegas.
So saying the fountain display outside the Bellagio was impressive albeit synchronised with “God Bless America”.
